Force the resolution to a known good value by adding a parm to cmdline.txt and rebooting.
The "D" can be significant.
If that fails what do you get by booting without any bootable media?
Does the diagnostic display give you a default resolution?
If that fails try another monitor or TV, does that work? Do you get the diagnostic display?
