Yes, but you might fins the SD card copier tool to be a better option.
Imager will pull down the OS image again and redo the first boot stuff. SD card copier does everything locally and does not redo the first boot bits. It's best to tick the "New PARTUUIDs" box though.
I want to have the Raspberry PI OS Lite on the SSD. I think I have to use the Imager tool from the OS on the USB flash drive to install the Lite OS on the SSD?
