I have the current macOS, updated as of this morning, and the pi imager, uploaded this afternoon.
I'm trying to install ubuntu LTS on a pi 5 for a mythtv server.
After a couple of dozen attempts, every single one ends with macOS interrupting the write with the "format/ignore/eject" message. It usually comes somewhere from 2% to 12%, but I've gotten into the 30s once or twice.
I've tried rebooting, but that doesn't do it. Also, if I try again after the failure, macOS notices again when the write starts again
I've tried a direct write using dd to /dev/disk6, but it wasn't bootable.
I tried raspian, which wrote and booted into GUI (without asking for login!), but didn't seem to notice the wireless (with dongle) keyboard & trackpad, AFAIK, there is no knowledge base for mythtv on raspian, which is why I'm using ubuntu.
I've tried connecting it by ethernet to do a network install, but it instead keeps trying to boot from usb (with no drive or stick attached), and repeating after failure.
I could use any bright ideas or experience!
