I don't agree, I'd prefer a standard rPi GPU product, with a small footprint and low power, that works with no fuss after a few simple install commands, that the majority of standard users can have fun with, even if it only provides a modest performance step.There will never be a one size fits all solution, so the only sensible option is something that presents a PCIe x16 (or open ended) slot for the user to choose which card they fancy.
Experts can tinker with bespoke solutions all they like, but for most of us 500W PSUs and huge graphics cards, and many hours of frustration getting them to work, is pointless you might as well just buy a PC.
