Not really, but only because the script I am referring to is over 2500 lines long and uses tabs etc. It is something that I have been writing for quite sometime and was meant to be a sort of replacement for ADUC on Linux.Can you provide an example of yad not working? Because it works fine on my Trixie install here.Believe me, I tried everything I could find on the internet, but, for me, Yad scripts do not work on Wayland, which lead me to the Yad git page and replacing Wayland with X11. Now everything works as I want. Further investigation now leads me to believe that Wayland is being used before it is ready, your belief may differ.
YAD works with Wayland. It shows warnings but works... You can get rid of warnings withCode:
GDK_BACKEND=x11 yad
Claiming something is not ready on the basis of your own, often limited, experience is a common problem. For the vast majority of people Wayland works fine, in fact, better than X11. I've certainly never had any issues with it. So, I beleive Wayland is ready.
I cannot get it to work correctly on Wayland, I spent two days browsing the internet, but nothing worked, it works perfectly (apart from a few problems with my code that need fixing) on X11. My problems may be being caused by the interaction of the Yad code and Wayland, in which case, the guy that writes Yad will probably need to fix this, but as I said, he appears to be fighting in a war.
As I said, Wayland doesn't work for me, though it may for you, I fixed it for myself by not using it, this is the benefit of running Linux.
