Sadly the Pi's refusal to 'see' the keyboard continues. The previous post was perhaps premature as the keyboard was AWOL the next time the machine was booted. A slightly sarky poster on a nother forum suggested re-intsalling the OS from my backup disc. At that point I had no idea how to make a backup with just a single drive. However, I did discover that the OS, RaspberryPi (64k), could be downloaded. That was done and it was wrtitten over the existing malfunctioning OS. With that done a tentative re-start was made. I had to go through all the normal setting up a new OS tasks and when that was done there was a functioning keyboard. For fun I decided to swap the default wall paper from oneof the others on the wallpaper list. I then logged off and shut down.
Today, full of enthusiasm, I switched on, the machine booted and loaded the GUI. However the keyboard was gone again and there was no wallpaper. Dropping out of the GUI I checked for keyboard function but got none. Several switch offs and logouts have made no difference, but with no keyboard I have not actually loged in.
Thus my question is where can I go from here?
