HATs and other add-ons • Re: RPi5 Argon NEO 5 M.2 and Poe?

I have no experience with POE hats but regarding Argon cases for PI5, I was a bit disappointed with NEO model vs ONE v5 model (I have one of each both with NVMe extension)

I think the NEO case suffers 2 major issues :
- it does not cool as much as ONE v5 model. Heat dissipation is not as good as I'd like. They are close to each other : NEO is ALWAYS 10°C higher than ONE
- the way we connect NVMe SSD prevents from using the SD card. ONE model does not suffer this issue.

Furthermore ONE v5 has an internal USB Port for ZigBee Modules, making it perfect for Home Assistant (which you seem to be using).

As of POE hats, Argon40 claims they offer standard Raspberry Pi HAT Compatibility but I can't confirm this, I don't use hats. I feel like there enough room for hats though.

PS : I just checked your POE hat (you forgot the link). I'm very confident ONE v5 can accept it. (Can't say for NEO - I need to unscrew the top to check)... Yes ONE v5 is much easier to use too with magnets to hold the cover in place...
If this is the hat you're referring to : https://thepihut.com/products/power-ove ... berry-pi-5
