General discussion • 3D case for Pi5 Pimoroni bottom design idea/help

Hello,
I would like a 3D printed case for my Raspberry Pi5 desktop OS with a Pimoroni bottom.
The naked PCB and metal connectors are too fragile to be dumped in the backpack daily, so perhaps some 3D printed bio-plastic is needed.

I have 3D printed out a crude design with no lid, but the size is about 20-30mm high (unable to find the exact link https://www.thingiverse.com/search?q=ra ... +pi&page=1 for credit).

Case bottom:
seems like the Pimoroni plastic bottom is pretty sturdy, so might not need a bottom, just a sides and top?
Maybe some fancy new design rather than a flat plastic 3-5mm, but a springy suspension like a bed mattress somehow? This might allow for air ventilation?

Case sides:
probably standard like the image?

Case top:
i'm sure this can be reduced to 10mm high, by having the top not cover then 2 USB-A ports and maybe not even cover the RJ45 port.
This would leave a top 'ceiling' cover over the rest (fan, heat sync, micro HDMI port, USB-C power port and ribbon cable connector).
