yes, I know it sounds ridiculous but let's just say I don't have access to the lab equipment currently, so I thought why not use the pi.So the sole purpose of the RPi is that you can power it by a USB 5V power supply and use the GPIO pins 5V and GND for your external system ? In that case, why not use a lab bench power supply which has overcurrent setting? Or use an USB 'breakout' to directly connect to the USB power supply power and trust the power supply overcurrent protection.Is there a way to limit the current output within the raspberry itself?
I didn't know about the usb breakout and I googled it just now, sounds like a great idea and a lot more reasonable than the one I had lol thanks mate.
