I understand that it has to be a Global Shutter camera to achieve such high speeds.
But there are several Global Shutter cameras for PI, such as

Last year I made a mistake of buying OV2311 https://www.arducam.com/product/arducam ... pivariety/
but was not able to use it because arducam placed some extra ISP chip between PI and sensor, which made it impossible to access sensor registers.
That's why I wanted to double check which one I should buy.
I guess when you wrote "GS camera" you means IMX296, right?
And what about IMX708, which is mentioned above? Will it work?
Also, did you try using some global shutter USB cameras with PI, such as these:
