A Samba parameter is the thing before the '=' and it isn't a good idea to use a parameter for a share name (the thing inside the square brackets), using 'path' as a directory name is probably okay, but again, I wouldn't do it.While I agree in principle, ...:'path' is a Samba parameter, please do not use it for a share name.
1) It probably doesn't matter. I doubt the parser cares about the string values after the = sign.
2) /media/pi/path is probably a standin anyway. Probably not the user's actual path.
