Good point. However: "Compute Module 3+ will remain in production until at least January 2028" That's only three years to go. No problem for a one-off, but for a product the commercial liftetime is a bit short.On GPIO: If you don't need the computing horsepower of a 4B or Pi5 consider a CM3[+]. You'll need a carrier board but CM, CM3, and CM3+ expose a lot more GPIO than are exposed on an a "standard" model Pi or on the CM4 and CM5.
