I've found a issue with auto configure when it tries to detect the controller type.
On the Pi 5 and the ARTIK hat if you use auto configure controller type the controller gets stuck and locks up the I2C bus., There is no way to reset the controller only a full power reset will clear the issue. That is the power has to be fully removed from the board as low power mode leaves the controller powered.
The method used to detect the controller type is the same used in the official scripts. This in present only in the 0.5.x and is likely a none issue as the ARTIK hat is old and it's unlikely anyone would use one on a Pi 5 when better options exist.
