You do not need a dashboard. And if a computer crashing at some point will mess up your tax situation then you're doing it wrong.
The Pi 5 will not slow down if you "launch a heavy dashboard". But seriously, you should put this stuff in a spreadsheet, or some simple accounting software. Use Google sheets and you can see it on your phone.
