Because my newer HQ cam it came off like the green cam image below, which I believe it left that bottom flare part attached to the HQ cam still. I tried to separate the one above with pliers but I couldn't get them to rotate apart. I might try gluing the flat plate to the base and seeing if that helps resist the counter-rotation, maybe I could get them apart then, not a big deal if I can't, I'm going to move forward with the green cam in the future, more advanced.
Okay it does come off. That's crazy it looks like a solid piece. Well that's good to know.
Comparing them the black camera has a larger diameter
I've been buying random lenses and trying them out, for the most part they seem to need to be unscrewed a little to focus far away from you, about 1mm (with the c-cs adapter on).
This one lens though Computar 8-48mm you have to get it closer to the sensor, I initially wrote it off as can't focus until I accidentally removed the ring like above on the green camera.
