I'm hoping someone can help me. I got a Seeed Studio XIAO RP2350, installed MicroPython firmware SEEED_XIAO_RP2350-20251209-v1.27.0.uf2, did I do that right? I ran Arduino Lab for MicroPython and uploaded a few test files, the change colors sketch, then unplugged it. So far so good. The next day plugging it in to my computer (Macbook M2) it wouldn't appear to Arduino Lab for MicroPython. Not after restarting my Macbook, messing with the RP2350 several ways. I can put into boot mode and it mounts as a volume in Finder, I tried to upload a file called main.py but Finder crashed hard and I had to reboot my Mac. Next I renamed the file to boot.py, it uploaded to the volume normally and it runs like the change color program should. But it will not appear to Arduino Lab for MicroPython, or Thonny, and the same happens on a Windows box. Is this normal? The RP2350 seems to be bricked, although it runs the change-color program. I can never use it with an IDE though.
So I tried to reinstall the default C++ firmware, which apparently is impossible to find. I found a page that said the factory firmware is a file Blink.ino.elf.uf2, which I downloaded and installed using Finder, which crashed. It crashed hard. I could not relaunch Finder and had to reboot my Mac. This happened twice in a row. By now I am ready to give up. What am I doing wrong?
