UPDATE:

I've been working hard at making improvements finding bugs and fixing the graphical side of things. I've greatly improved the render speed of sprites it's all been reworked. I've started working on getting into the weeds looking at how I first implemented tiles and how that could be better. Now I have PT52 assets that are tailored for the system. These include bitmaps tile sets and glyphs currently. Bitmaps can be blited to the screen and I think I have resizing working. Tiles are where it's at with new improved tile map render infinite scrolling and clamping and even if the assets are loaded correctly the performance on an RP2350 is 60FPS.

This is a test of the new tile map rendering with the back buffer I'm using an 8x8 tileset from the diamond hunt game I've been working on for the PT52. Hopefully soon to be much improved with these new capabilities.

Another new feature is that you can create bitmaps and use them as draw targets so you could render a tile map to a bitmap and not screen. Or you can render a tile to a sprite some of these tile sets have you build a player sprite from 4 or 5 tiles this is all now possible to do. Still working on directly loading Sprites.

So keep it turned here from when I push these updates to the testing branch.

As always thank you for following along.
