I have a previous project that is a touchscreen: RPI-ALL-IN-ONE: 10.1’’ 1280 x 800 16:9 (built like 5 years ago)
It boots to kiosk mode, and displays a hosted 'web interface'
I wanted to try an duplicate this project for a friend, (cloned original SD card image) but the old monitor was now longer available, the new has a higher resolution: RPI-ALL-IN-ONE: 10.1’’ 1920 x 1200 16:9
So my interface is a bit 'off' (and smaller)
I booted up the original 1280 x 800 16:9 one and tried to see what current resolution it was set to:
(Graphical interface approach) MENU > Preferences > Raspberry Pi Configuration
* However it looks to be set to: Default - preferred monitor settings
Q1: How do you find out what the current resolution is being used? (can yo do it through graphical interface/desktop options somehow?)
When I go to same settings on the NEW RPI-ALL-IN-ONE: 10.1’’ 1920 x 1200 16:9 monitor (MENU > Preferences > Raspberry Pi Configuration)
I dont see any 1280 x 800 options (just 1280 x 720)
* I sorta recall (been a LONG time, so I could be wrong)... that I added other resolution options to the old/original RPi 3+.... (config.txt file perhaps?) (not a real RPi guy.. only used them in like 3-4 projects... more an Arduino guy).... but the original SD card being cloned, and used in the new RPi/monitor project (Still an RPi 3 to clarify).. would those options still be there?
When I go to the original RPi > Desktop > MENU > Preferences > Raspberry Pi Configuration I see more options there than I do in the new one?
Q2: How do I go about getting the same resolution options in my new RPi 3/monitor now?
(hopefully I can find what resolution is being used in the old/original RPi3/monitor.... and then find a way to add that same option in my my RPi 3/monitor settings)
Thanks! Appreciate all positive/helpful feedback!
