Hello hope all is well, I recently was gifted a 3b+ from a friend who got an upgrade. He had told me that it had served him well until one day it stopped booting. He mentioned that the green boot light never turned on, red did, and nothing would work. Different sd cards were attempted, all with the newest raspberry pi os for the model. I myself tried as well, even getting the OS on a usb flashdrive to see if that would work. I've seen some people ask this question as well on older forums but I could not find an direct answer and more suggestions without knowing if it worked for sure. The pi was used in a pretty standard way, typically raspberry os, and not overly used. I could not see anything wrong with the hardware itself.
