Hello all, I am new to the forums but a long time Raspberry Pi supporter.
I have an old Raspberry Pi 3B+ and I wanted to repurpose it and do a project with the DAC pro card. I bought the newer Raspberry Pi branded DAC pro chip and I thought it was compatible since it has the 40-pin header.
I tried to plug the DAC pro into the Raspberry Pi 3b+ but it will not seat all the way - none of the pins on the Pi's 40-pin header are bent or anything and they are the same size as the DAC pro so I don't understand. I tried plugging a few of the DAC Pro's headers into the Pi's pins and some go all the way but some seem like there's something preventing the pins from seating properly (I don't see anything in the visual inspection).
Just so you don't think I am a total idiot and didn't push the DAC pro in hard enough, I even tried torquing it down with the screws that connect the PCBs together and the Pi's PCB was actually started to bend so, what gives? I guess the DAC pro isn't compatible with this Pi or did I get a faulty one? Help please!
