Just to add that there was/is a bug with the wayvnc server where it dropped the connection after login or logoff on the desktop. The RealVNC client then gives the "the connection closed unexpectedly" error. I have been told here that it should be fixed but I still get it. You may get a clue what is going on by having an SSH session open to the Pi and doing dmesg. That was how I saw that the client was making several attempts to reconnect alternating quickly between UPD and TCP and getting blocked by UFW's LIMIT IN.
