I know this is a NXP and not a PI product, but I wanted to ask here in case, because I'm curious of alternative solutions. I purchased a Waveshare PN532 NFC Hat for my pi which uses the NXP PN532 chip and this worked for a bit. I am now trying to use the NXP PN7160 NFC chip with my pi5 for NFC reading since the PN532 is no longer recommended for new designs and the PN7160 is. However, I keep running into NFC Service Init failed issues with the PN7160. Even after following their porting solution. Is there a known way to get the PN7160 working with the PI5 or is there an alternative that could be used to give my pi5 NFC reading capabilities. I am looking for something that could be used in new engineering designs as at the moment the pi5 is my means of prototyping
