Feedback after using this new Imager release on a RPI5 with Trixie. I already gave the beta a try but removed it at once then...
- Localisation
The list to select your capital city is way to long !!!
Why not simply type your country code first so the list is limited to just a few cities ? Wouldn't it make ergonomically more sense ?
- Adding a public key for SSH
We're invited to select our public key which is very likely to be in ~/.ssh folder
But the app shows the entire filesystem so we have to click on home > <username> > and then it's impossible to CTRL+H so we can see hidden files and folders !!! So we're forced to use a graphical environnement that can't do what's needed ! And in the end, we must type in manually the correct path !!! What the heck !!!
- this is a personal opinion but I hate this "next" "next" "next" requirement. If I want to see what customisations fields are available I don't want to be forced to plug a device first. Or just do a screencap to help someone on the forum !
If I want to be driven by wizards I can use Win11 ! I don't expect RaspiOS to do this !
You show available tabs, let us use them freely !

Not really convinced by this new release. I'll keep 1.9.6 on Windows and probably 1.9.4 on other RPIs for the time being... More friendly imho.
