In this regards, how is it any different than Connect which you recommend to use ? SDN offers way more than Connect...They way I read it, it's a third party VPN server that all your machines connect to as clients. The reason it works without local firewall configuration is that third party server in a data centre somewhere. What you're losing in configuration effort you're losing in control.
You also need to trust that third party with your data and that their servers have good uptime. And, usually, clients on free plans get the worst (or no) support.
It's not. But connect is the path of least
Create an account. Enabled it on the Pi (and register it etc.). Job done. No need to setup "SDN" accounts and clients on every device. This is the primary reason I was recommending it.
Connect isn't the only option for this. IIRC RealVNC and others offer a similar (paid) service.
