Everything is working well
But for how long?

There have been many changes between bullseye and trixie. Things like the location of the boot filesystem (moved from /boot to /boot/firmware in bookworm), the name of the kernel packages, the networking (changed from dhcpcd to Network Manager), the GUI used and others.

I guess you'll be stuck with an old kernel, and (if using a desktop) you'll still be using X instead of Wayland. It'll probably keep working, just you won't get any kernel updates.

This is why this procedure is not recommended and I would advise anyone trying it to make a full backup of their system first and test that the backup works before proceeding.
I hear you. Originally, I was going to just re-image, but thought this would be a nice experiment.

If something breaks, I will post in this thread. Also happy to run any checks you want to see.
