Have you brought up this issue in whatever place u-boot has for support?

I've solved it! It seems like the version of the device tree that Raspberry Pi provides here: https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware ... pi-5-b.dtb
differs to the version that gets installed when you install the Raspberry Pi OS. When I installed the OS and copied that device tree in, it seemed to work perfectly fine. The sizes of the device tree file even differ, so there's definitely something going on there...
