Raspberry Pi Connect • Re: Connect and resolution oddity

These are the rules:
  • If there is a physical display connected, resizing is disabled
  • The first remote desktop client that tries to resize becomes the layout leader and can resize
  • Any subsequent connections are not allowed to resize until the first client disconnects.
  • If the current leader disconnects, it relinquishes its role
  • The first client to try resizing after the leader disconnects becomes the new layout leader.
This also depends on whether the client supports resizing. Both TigerVNC and Pi Connect support resizing.

You can disable resizing by setting the --disable-resizing command line option when running wayvnc. There are two systemd services for it, one for plain VNC, and one for Pi Connect.
