Troubleshooting • File Transfer from Remote Pi using RPConnect

Hello Peeps

I'm using rpi-connect-lite on a headless remote Pi (Raspi OS Lite Trixie), connected by giffgaff/O2 4G. Works nicely (if somewhat unreliable at connecting).

However I'm having trouble sorting file transfers. The remote Pi is behind CGNAT, so whilst RPConnect gives me a CLI, that's all, so file transfers have to be initiated from the remote Pi using this CLI.

I tried Rsync from the pi to my office Windows PC (which runs an rsync server in cygwin, tried&tested). The Pi reports "rsync: did not see server greeting", and my office firewall does not see any rsync IP traffic. I tried from a Pi in my office, works fine. Giffgaff/O2 claim they don't block rsync, though of course that may have changed with recent UK age legislation.

I tried SCP, and installed WinSCP on my PC, but I can't see how to make WinSCP run as an SCP server...

I tried and failed to set up an IPSec VPN from the Pi to my office firewall (I always struggle with IPSec...)

I'm just after a quick&easy way to transfer a file from the remote Pi (behind CGNAT), just using the RPConnect CLI. Any suggestions? Should I persevere with one of the above, if so which one? I am not a linux wizz, I can manage the basics but get a bit lost with the complexities of security certs etc (which I think is where I fail with IPSec)

Thanks all
