I have a new pi 500+ which displays nothing via ugreen micro hdmi cables that work fine on pi5, pi4. Tested two cables, both fail on pi 500+ .
Tested to two different monitors. Using official Pi 5 power supply.
Is there a problem that the Pi 500+ case design is stopping proper cable insertion?
I have white Pi micro hdmi cable on order to verify whether that fixes the problem or not.
If it doesn't I shall have to assume the pi 500+ is defective and return, but with modern QC this seems unlikely.
I have tried booting the pi 500+ from internal ssd which is described as Pi OS pre-installed, and with a fresh micro sd. The power light/switch controls on/off green/red, and the keyboard lights show a wave of activity, then various power light sequences so something is active. Nothing displays. On a Pi 5 the screen would display something very quickly after power on.
Any ideas as to what the problem is?
