Thanks again. I ran the pivpn - d command and this looked concerning...
:::: Snippet of the server log ::::
Sep 13 22:41:19 raspberrypi ovpn-server[887]: tls_crypt_v2_unwrap_client_key: client key authentication error
Sep 13 22:41:19 raspberrypi ovpn-server[887]: Can not unwrap tls-crypt-v2 client key
Sep 13 22:41:19 raspberrypi ovpn-server[887]: TLS Error: can not extract tls-crypt-v2 client key from [AF_INET]69.158.246.116:50956
Sep 13 22:41:20 raspberrypi ovpn-server[887]: Control Channel: using tls-crypt-v2 key
I ran these errors on google and it indicated maybe I don't have proper ownship or permissions. Not sure exactly what files i might need to change. I have already uninstalled and installed openvpn previously and had the same problem but I guess I could do that again but thinking that is not going to fix my problem. Am i not setting up the auth correctly on the client ?? It is asking me for a password when i connect though....
I also see that in the debug.log file that the server has this information ==> tls-crypt-v2 /etc/openvpn/easy-rsa/pki/tc-v2/server.key but in the client profile i don't see and entry that like ==> tls-crypt-v2 client.key. I read that I can generate a key with this command ==> openvpn --tls-crypt-v2-client tls-crypt-v2-server.key > client1-tls.key but when i do i get this error ==> Options error: Unrecognized option or missing or extra parameter(s) in [CMD-LINE]:1: tls-crypt-v2-client (2.6.3)
Not sure I'm going down the right path
