After running rpi-update (I thought it was required to get my NVMe drive working), my system started showing this message every time I try to update:
but it didn’t help — the system is still running the kernel from rpi-update.
Everything works fine, but I would like to go back to the stable kernel from the official repository.
Is there a way to revert to the stable release without reinstalling the whole system, or is a fresh install the only option?
I already tried:Newer kernel available
The currently running kernel version is 6.12.45-v8-16k+ which is not the expected kernel version 6.12.34+rpt-rpi-v8.
Restarting the system to load the new kernel will not be handled automatically, so you should consider rebooting.
Code:
sudo apt install --reinstall raspberrypi-kernel raspberrypi-bootloaderEverything works fine, but I would like to go back to the stable kernel from the official repository.
