I think I talked about many of the reasons for the lag/choppiness in my first reply. You're doing lots of software processing. If you can stop doing this, it will run much better, especially if you can remove the software processing from running synchronously in your capture-display loop. Note also that cv2.imshow is a much less efficient way to display a preview compared to Picamera2's built-in preview window - try "picam2.start(show_preview=True)".I'll take your suggestions into consideration. I tried Gordon's github code, and was blown away. There was next to no lag/chop. I'm just curious why mine is coming in with lag/chop. Thoughts?
