Thanks for that. It seems to be including '.cmake' files from the various Pimoroni bits which I imagine creates an 'include everything' compilation with the later library selection limiting what is actually linked, the linker removing anything not needed.

That should work well enough for most, but I prefer to specify all the source files needed explicitly as I find that makes things easier if you want to make specific files local, to make changes while leaving what's provided intact. The downside is you have figure out what files you do need.

I try to make all examples and external libraries read-only because that helps avoid making changes which can lead to confusion later when you forget you have done that.

Anyway; glad you're on the right track again.
