could you please explain what kind of WiFi issues version 1.9.4 had, and how it might affect the system image or boot process?
It was failing to remove control characters (newline) from the end of the information entered, which led to creation of a bad configuration file.

I don't think it would stop the Pi booting, just the wifi was unusable. But it's worth a try in case it fixed anything else.

Otherwise follow the usual procedure in the Not Booting sticky post in the "Troubleshooting" section of the forums.

The first thing to try with a PI 4 or Pi 5 is to try the Pi without the SD card and just power and screen connected (no keyboard, network, mouse or any other accessories) and see if anything is displayed.
