Hello,
Recently purchased a CM5 8g 32gemmc board for my 3d printer, I was able to flash the os and booted a couple of times. Tried to boot over the weekend and would not boot. Purchased a waveshare cm5 mini board A and it still would not boot. Tried to connect it to the pc and rpiboot will not see the cm5. I have tried on multiple computers and tried multiple usb cables.
So is the timeline for your issue that you were unable to re-flash the OS using the original unspecified IO Board. And subsequently you tried the Waveshare IO board and that would not work either?
Yes that is correct. I originally flashed using a big tree tech manta m8p v2 board. I had everything working a couple days later I tried to boot it up to work on config files and it would not boot. Ordered the waveshare board and the same thing happens it will not boot.
If you are referring to https://biqu.equipment/collections/cont ... ta-m4p-m8p, have you confirmed with the supplier that it is compatible with your CM5. The product description does not mention that.
Maybe it's just bad luck, but yours is the second post in a week saying that the Waveshare IO board doesn't work for them. Again, what do Waveshare have to say?
I don't know of any way to troubleshoot this easily, other than by substitution. (A CM5 does not have a trivial way of accessing a serial console unfortunately... )
As a first step, given the relative costs of a new CM5 or a 'genuine' Raspberry Pi exemplar CM5 IO Board https://www.raspberrypi.com/products/co ... -io-board/, I would opt for the latter. Your priorities may differ.
