I have used Zero's to load Ultibo kernels via the USB port.
It saves burning/swaping SD cards all the time.
Ultibo is a big IDE that uses Free Pascal instead of C/C++.
It can be done via Ethernet as well, similar to SSH
USBboot supports other Pi's too.
