RPi Pico 1 (and 2), is a castellated module that allows soldering direct to carrier boards (and also connection wires).
Even if you have soldered pins you can also solder a connection wire on the side of the pin, or even to the top of the pin.
You can even solder a set of 90 degree connectors to the side.
