This may be a "red herring" but, IIRC, one of the early models of Pi with an onboard "WiFi" system suffered "WiFi failure" due to "bright light pulses" ie. flash camera photography. Just wondering if excessive exposure to bright sunlight might have a similar effect - however I don't recall which model(s) were affected and whether component changes were made to circumvent the issue.Using a USB dongle does get wlanX working, but mine normally runs on batteries, which will have to be more powerful also powering the USB dongle.I just bought a WiFi dongle so I don’t need any help
I bought the RPi with internal WiFi, why does it stop working after 3 or 4 months?
DG.
