If the cloned card works on the C1-stepping Pi, try update followed by full-upgrade to see if that adds the needed drivers for the D0.

https://www.raspberrypi.com/documentati ... rs/os.html

If the cloned card doesn't work on the C1 either, then other things are wrong.
It will work on my other Pi 5 board ( A Pi 5 4GB ) but refuses to boot on my Pi 5 2GB, the only difference being the CPU revision and the RAM size....
Did you try

Code:

# apt update# apt full-upgrade
before switching the card to the D0 Pi?
I am rebuilding the kernel from scratch locally on that pi itself, so it is recent and up to date, so no need for this.
