I'd suggested checking the card to be sure it really is 32GB and not a smaller one faking it.,so I have a pi 3b , and I cannot run the full bookworm download to a 32gb sd card as I get 7 flashing yellow blinks I can install other images that run fine but in order to use the full disk I have to use gparted to resize the partition from the 8gb that they were made from and show in gparted as 8gb partitions
I have used the pi imager on my Mac and have used the imager to format the disk previously , the file installs and verifies ok just does not boot
