11. I've updated the cmdline.txt file with the correct resolution for my TV (1920x1080)
Saved it, then rebooted the Pi = Issue remains
In fact its slightly worse - I don't even get the rainbow square, or any indication
that the Pi is doing anything.
However the green power / status LED is flashing, and my keyboard lights up
showing activity
12. Interestingly - If I remove the SD card, the Pi will show a "Boot / splash screen"
in glorious technicolour
So it appears that the cable does (kinda) work.
12.1. I also noticed that the EDID=0 is still showing, which suggests that the changes I made
to the cmdline.txt file haven't been recognised.
13. I also note that If I use my Pi-5 with my PC monitor (and a different cable =
VGA to Micro HDMI) then it works perfectly.
14. I have ordered a couple of brand new HDMI to Micro HDMI cables to test
They should arrive in a day or two.
It just doesn't seem to make sense that the cable does work in the splash screen mode
but not when in "normal" mode.
