Well it's certainly no desktop machine, but it's not just the license cost of the ISA that will make it appealing.
There seems to be an upswell of interest and support for RISC V, in Unis and generally amongst enthusiast, it is becoming something of an open source statement in the way that linux was once. Talking of linux, Ubuntu have decided to support the RV2 with 24.04.

It is similar in power consumption to a Pi3 with a 2 lane PCIe, dual gigabit ethernet (and OpenWRT image available), 2 x M2 sockets, USB C power, 2 camera connectors, dedicated power management with sleep mode, full size HDMI, even an on/off switch on the PCB edge.

It's not much quicker than the SiFive but more versatile.
