Troubleshooting • Re: SSH Access Permission Denied

Okay, I reflashed the microSD card so I could use the Raspberry Pi Imager Utility as described in the news blog post that was shared by @B.Goode and it seemed to me that I had already completed those steps properly aside from the fact that I didn't create the userconfig.txt file in the boot partition, but based on the wording of the article, I assumed that user configuration within the imager had resolved the need to do that. Anyway, I figured that the line "PermitRootLogin no" within the file path "/mnt/pi-root/etc/ssh/sshd_config" should probably be "PermitRootLogin yes" so that I could properly ssh into the rpi but my host terminal returns that "Permission denied, please try again." What I'm going to try this time that I am going to just enable my wi-fi configuration so I can ssh in over my home network and see if I can ssh into the pi wirelessly. If that doesn't work then I'm going to attempt to use Public Key Authentication. Eventually, I'm going to figure it out and share the solution.
Wish me luck. Thank you all for your help and suggestions. It's greatly appreciated.
