Hi all
I have a quick question for all you tech wizards hoping you can help me.
I have a few pi's of wich two are pi 5. I bought a new case the argon neo 5 with the m.2 nvme option and it working fine, but...
I overrclocked the old pi5 8gb model to arm 3ghz and gpu to 1ghz and it works like a charm no extra heat or instability just great. it runs a docker stack of 17 containers and everything is running flawless for days now witout the temp ever getting above 45. neofetch shows this for it
neofetch

OS: Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm) aarch64
Host: Raspberry Pi 5 Model B Rev 1.0
Kernel: 6.6.74+rpt-rpi-2712
Uptime: 1 day, 6 mins
Packages: 882 (dpkg)
Shell: bash 5.2.15
Terminal: /dev/pts/0
CPU: (4) @ 3.000GHz
Memory: 2396MiB / 8064MiB

and the config.txt looks like this

# For more options and information see
# http://rptl.io/configtxt
# Some settings may impact device functionality. See link above for details

# Uncomment some or all of these to enable the optional hardware interfaces
#dtparam=i2c_arm=on

So thats just fine but the argon neo5 nvme is a different story everything works great until i try to overclock it and after i change the config.txt it wont boot at all.
I tried several setting changes but it always ends up not booting at all. And being that it is a working testing deployment i end up installing it from scratch every time it fails to boot. A chance to practice i suppose. :)

On this new 16gb Pi5 neofetch shows this

OS: Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm) aarch64
Host: Raspberry Pi 5 Model B Rev 1.1
Kernel: 6.6.74+rpt-rpi-2712
Uptime: 1 hour, 29 mins
Packages: 790 (dpkg)
Shell: bash 5.2.15
Terminal: /dev/pts/0
CPU: (4) @ 2.400GHz
Memory: 981MiB / 16220MiB

and the confi.txt looks like this
(after running the script as per the instructions that came with the ArgonNeo5 case)
# For more options and information see
# http://rptl.io/configtxt
# Some settings may impact device functionality. See link above for details

# Uncomment some or all of these to enable the optional hardware interfaces
#dtparam=i2c_arm=on
#dtparam=i2s=on
#dtparam=spi=on

# Enable audio (loads snd_bcm2835)
dtparam=audio=on

# Additional overlays and parameters are documented
# /boot/firmware/overlays/README

# Automatically load overlays for detected cameras
camera_auto_detect=1

# Automatically load overlays for detected DSI displays
display_auto_detect=1

# Automatically load initramfs files, if found
auto_initramfs=1

# Enable DRM VC4 V3D driver
dtoverlay=vc4-kms-v3d
max_framebuffers=2

# Don't have the firmware create an initial video= setting in cmdline.txt.
# Use the kernel's default instead.
disable_fw_kms_setup=1

# Run in 64-bit mode
arm_64bit=1

# Disable compensation for displays with overscan
disable_overscan=1

# Run as fast as firmware / board allows
arm_boost=1

[cm4]
# Enable host mode on the 2711 built-in XHCI USB controller.
# This line should be removed if the legacy DWC2 controller is required
# (e.g. for USB device mode) or if USB support is not required.
otg_mode=1

[cm5]
dtoverlay=dwc2,dr_mode=host

[all]
dtparam=nvme
dtparam=pciex1_gen=3
usb_max_current_enable=1

And i added the same lines from the first config about overclocking to the end of this config and it didnt work the pi wouldt boot
I also tried varients but its allways the same not booting afterwards.

So anyone notice anything strange or stupid on my part PLEASE help a guy out would like to get this done before i move the stack that i am running on my old pi to this new one
Thank you all
