Implementing WPS would probably be the most appropriate and easiest way to do it for end users.
I haven't followed discussions on WPS closely enough to know if that's achievable or not on a Pico W and 2W. If it is it would IMO be better provided as a capability within the Pico SDK and CYW43 drivers than as a third-party offering.
