The case, screws, NVMe and PCIe flex cable are all fine.It's possible that you got a dud (for the case since you've verified that the pi is working correctly)...
I once bought a laptop kit for the pi that ended up being a dud... That was a soul crushing experience.
I would contact the company that made the case (if that's possible) and see if they have any words of wisdom and/or can/will send you a new one.
Just noted the FFC connections, are the mounted correctly? Did you brake the FFC during asembly by chance (FFC don't like being bend back&forth multiple times).
Everything was fine up to the point I opened it a few days ago, to check the PCIe because it wasn't detecting my 256GB NVMe. The PCIe cable is fine, it was perfect on arrival. Why can't rpi just add native PCIe Gen3/NVMe support!??
