I'm not sure why they need this authorisation, I am checking with the team who arranged the JLCPCB hookup.Isn't the issue not so much whether it will or won't work, but that JLCPCB won't commence manufacturing with anything else without authorisation from Raspberry Pi ?
Which makes getting that Raspberry Pi authorisation the issue.
