Yes, I remember them, but not fondly. I had a PocketCHIP, the one that had a worse keyboard than a ZX81. Blecch.

The company that made these (Next Thing Co: Get C.H.I.P. and C.H.I.P. Pro - The Smarter Way to Build Smart Things) has dried up and blown away, and all of their repos are gone. The design was briefly resurrected by Popcorn Computer in 2019, but they're gone too. Their website was up until late 2024, so maybe they're something there that might help: Popcorn Computer.

There's still an active user community on reddit: ChipCommunity

Some of the C.H.I.P. boards had a problem with their flash forgetting the OS image after a year or so. Mine did that. If you can't get access to a source of updated images, these boards might be e-waste.
