It's a completely standard NVME drive. It will "just work".

yes, it has been running perfectly on default official speed of gen 2. Following the installation guide and it works from the start.

Can I ask how you know you are on gen 2 please?

I have this in my config.txt:-I must have commented out the gen3 clause at some time in the past, and yet I appear to be getting gen3 speeds.

Does anyone know what the "official" default now is?
And do I still need the first line?
