That's one possible problem. You may very well find others...
Humm you might found where lay the problem
in the initramfs shell I've did cat /etc/cryttab but the file doesn't exist.
No, I was most definitely NOT suggesting that. I was suggesting that you could use sdm-cryptconfig on RasPiOS to get a properly encrypted disk and use the sdm-cryptconfig and the resulting config files on that system to help you sort out what you're not doing correctly on your non-RasPiOS system.Hoo so you mean if I get RasPiOS working with the encryption I can after, mount the encrypted partition to another system and replace the content with another distribution ?
Yes, and I have identified a minor issue there that is caused by using a Desktop version but setting the boot behavior to be CLI. Use the Lite version if you don't want the graphical console. Yes, I'm looking into fixing this.BTW I've tried with sdm-cryptconfig, but it facing a blocking bug actually
I don't know where your error is, but now you know how to build a working example with all the config files in place, which should help you sort out what has gone awry on your non-RasPiOS system.Meanwhile I'll try to fix my **initramfs** if you think the error lay there.
